Our Approach
Our goal for every person we serve is the same...authentic flourishing. We want each and every individual who walks through our doors (or shows up on our telehealth screens) to experience greater joy, freedom and confidence in who God has created them to be. We’re here to accompany you on the road to flourishing. By integrating behavioral science, psychological theory and Catholic anthropology we offer a wholistic approach that tends to the mind, body and soul. We work as a team to sharpen our clinical skills through study, consultation, supervision, friendship, and prayer.
Marital Counseling
Most couples wait on average between 6-7 years after identifying that there is a problem before seeking counseling. Regardless of how long you have waited before seeking professional help, it is never too late. At The Lourdes Center, we view the sacrament of marriage as a sacred bond intended to reflect the Trinitarian love between the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. As clinicians we take seriously the responsibility of caring for your relationship that is called to reflect this unity.
Individual
Through a caring partnership, we help you access your own interior thoughts, feelings and desires. Drawing on various methods, we look for root causes to emotional suffering. Whether you're experiencing a life transition, past trauma, parenting challenges, mood swings or shame, we desire you to find freedom. Therapy is not just about eliminating symptoms. God has created us for more. Beyond not feeling depressed or anxious, we want people to feel happy and peaceful. We align with serving your deepest desires for living.
Grief
Grief is a particular wound unlike any other. We are committed to providing a sacred place where individuals and families can travel to the depths of their grief, being unified to the Cross. It is often said the only way to the other side of grief if through it and we will walk with you every step of the way. We believe that on the other side of calvary is the resurrection and will hold that hope for you until you are ready to pick it up yourself.
Locations
We are currently on location in Sioux Falls, Aberdeen, Yankton and Watertown. We are also honored to serve SDSU students at the Pius XII Newman Center and USD students at Saint Thomas More Newman Center! To schedule an appointment at any of our locations, call (605) 988-3775.
Rates
Our usual fee for service is $175 a session. Your exact cost will depend on variables including the clinician, your insurance policy and the type of service you are receiving. To get an estimate, we encourage you to call us at 605.988.3775. At TLC, we believe no one should be denied service due to financial difficulty. Thanks to our generous benefactors, we do have some assistance available for those eligible.
