The Lourdes Center (formerly known as Catholic Family Services) has a rich legacy beginning in the 1950's! Over the years, offices have changed, programming has evolved and new hands have taken up the work but one thing has remained steadfast - our commitment to Christ and His people.
February 2022 marked a significant chapter in our story. God was doing something new in us. Seeing the ache in the Church and world, we felt a call to boldly accompany weary travelers on the messy journey toward heaven. As if we were a ship carrying pilgrims, we went to work...restoring boards, uncovering shine and setting sail after the Morning Star.
Steeped in the richness of the Churches healing hands, we decided to come under the Patronage of Our Lady of Lourdes. Today, Lourdes stands as the premier pilgrimage site of healing in the world.
As a ministry of the Catholic Diocese of Sioux Falls, we support the Diocesan vision of forming a culture of lifelong Catholic missionary discipleship through God's love. Through one-on-one counseling, retreats, programs and education, our growing team aims to integrate a Catholic vision of the human person with the psychological sciences in the support of human flourishing.
